Safety. Xenios 2.0 is equipped with various safety features to maintain treatment even in the event of a system failure.

Monitoring the power consumption can help circuit handling

The design of the integrated pressure sensors (IPS) eliminates the risk of air aspiration and measures the pressure directly at the tubing kit

An advanced alarm function provides recommendations for action in the event of certain physiological and technical alarms

Two backup battery packs supply the system with power during a power failure or interruption

A second pump drive can be used if the initial pump drive fails

In case of a technical failure of the operator unit itself, the pump drive and a battery pack can be connected to each other

Simplicity. Simple yet accurate
guidance during priming and preparation with the new GUI.

During the development process several innovative technical features were introduced, including a redesigned graphical user interface (GUI). This new GUI supports healthcare professionals across all essential handling steps and functions before and during ECMO treatment. This reduces potential sources of user error that can occur during an ECMO treatment in advance and thus can save time.

Xenios 2.0 provides healthcare professionals with detailed, step-by-step instructions and illustrations, guiding them through the priming and preparation process before initiating ECMO treatment.

Connectivity. A seamless health information exchange with Xenios 2.0

Seamless health information
exchange with Xenios 2.0

The modern medical landscape demands rapid and accurate data exchange. Xenios 2.0 rises to this challenge, providing healthcare professionals with quick and easy access to essential patient data, which is important in emergency situations. Despite technological advances, much patient information is still stored on paper, and transferring this data often involves outdated methods like mail, fax, or relying on patients to transport their records.

Xenios 2.0 can simplify this process with its integrated interface for seamless data transfer. The system can support with efficiency and reliability in medical data management through streamlined standards-based data implementation, flexible integration into various patient monitoring systems, and automated data transfer to PDMS and/or EMR systems.

Flexible integration of machine data into various patient monitoring systems

Automatic transfer of medical data to a PDMS/EMR to reduce workload

“Based on new regulatory requirements and the need for increased safety standards, the Xenios 2.0 offers enhanced safety features to support physicians and caregivers. We are confident, that with Xenios 2.0, we are taking the next step towards improved ECLS treatment.”

Dr. Benjamin Waldmann, CEO of Xenios AG

Xenios 2.0 is the all-new ECMO system providing cutting-edge safety features to enable treatments for neonate to adult patients. The redesigned user interface with intelligent troubleshooting and enhanced connectivity can reduce the workload for the ECMO team.
This can help healthcare professionals make quicker decisions, which ultimately can save valuable time during emergencies.
